IPSend is designed with privacy as a default. The developer does not collect, store, or have access to any personal information you enter into the application. This policy explains what data is handled, where it lives, and how it is used.
IPSend does not collect any data server-side. There are no servers, databases, or logging infrastructure associated with this application. Specifically:
All application data is stored exclusively in your own browser using IndexedDB. This includes:
This data never leaves your device except when you explicitly initiate a send, at which point PDF attachments and email content are transmitted directly to Gmail via the Gmail API — not through any developer-controlled server.
You can clear all locally cached data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using the session reset button within the application.
IPSend uses Google Identity Services (GIS) to authenticate you with your Google account and obtain a short-lived access token to send emails on your behalf. This authentication flow is handled entirely by Google in your browser.
The developer never sees, stores, or has access to your Google credentials or OAuth tokens. Google's own privacy policy governs the authentication process:

IPSend requests only the minimum Gmail scope necessary to send email (gmail.send). It does not read, modify, or delete any messages in your inbox.
Student email addresses you enter are used solely to address the outgoing emails you send through IPSend. They are stored only in your browser (as described in Section 3) and are transmitted only to Gmail when you initiate a send.
Email addresses are never shared with, sold to, or accessible by the developer or any third party.
IPSend does not use any analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel), advertising networks, or third-party tracking scripts. No cookies or tracking identifiers are set by this application.
IPSend interacts with one external service: the Google Gmail API, used only when you explicitly send emails. All other functionality runs locally in your browser with no external network requests.
IPSend is deployed on Vercel, which serves the application files. Vercel may collect standard web server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) as part of normal infrastructure operation. This is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.
IPSend is a tool used by teachers, not by students directly. Student email addresses are handled as described above and are never transmitted to the developer. Teachers using IPSend are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable student privacy laws (e.g., FERPA, COPPA).
The developer may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of IPSend after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
