Terms of Service
Last updated: March 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IPSend, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

IPSend is a browser-based tool designed for educators to distribute PDF files to students via Gmail. The service operates entirely within your browser — no data is transmitted to or stored on any server operated by the developer.

The service is provided as-is, for educational use. No warranties, express or implied, are made regarding availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

3. Your Responsibilities

You, the teacher or user, are solely responsible for the content you upload and distribute through IPSend. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ensuring you have the right to distribute any PDF files you upload.
  • Verifying that recipient email addresses are accurate and appropriate.
  • Complying with all applicable laws, including privacy laws that govern the handling of student information (e.g., FERPA).
  • Using the service only for lawful, educational purposes.

4. Google OAuth and Gmail Access

IPSend uses Google OAuth 2.0 to send emails on your behalf through the Gmail API. By signing in with Google and granting the requested permissions, you explicitly authorize IPSend to send emails from your Gmail account to the recipients you specify.

This authorization is scoped to sending email only. The developer does not have access to your Google account or any credentials — the OAuth flow is handled entirely by Google Identity Services in your browser.

You may revoke this authorization at any time through your Google Account permissions.

5. No Server-Side Data Storage

IPSend does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. All data — including uploaded PDFs, student rosters, and email assignments — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) and is never sent to the developer or any third party (other than Gmail, when you initiate a send).

Clearing your browser data will permanently delete any cached session data.

6. Limitation of Liability

The developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or misuse of IPSend. This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from:

  • Sending emails to incorrect recipients.
  • Distribution of content you did not have the right to share.
  • Loss of locally cached data.
  • Interruption or unavailability of Gmail or Google Identity Services.

Use of IPSend is entirely at your own risk.

7. Modifications to Terms

The developer reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of IPSend following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from use of IPSend shall be resolved under the jurisdiction applicable to the developer.
